"This November drawing picks up the threads of the May drawing LS 17, though it lacks the annotations and touches of wash that give the earlier study a greater density. Nevertheless, the bare bones of this drawing carry the weight of a considered opinion, and this summation, combined with the vitality and elegance of the rhythms, makes it one of the most beautiful and satisfying drawings of the period."
