Further details
The Dun Emer Guild was founded in Dundrum, Ireland in 1902 by Evelyn Gleeson with the support of William Butler Yeats' two sisters, Susan Mary (Lily) and Elizabeth Corbert (Lolly). At her Arts & Crafts collaborative, Gleeson produced carpets, tapestries and other textiles, embossed leather, bookbindings and enameling. She was particularly interested in the training of young Irish women. In 1912 Gleeeson moved the workshop to Hardwicke Street in Dublin.
