"The spectacular, full-bodied 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon (2,000 cases from a blend of 88 Cabernet Sauvignon and 12 Cabernet Franc) possesses great character, richness, and black currant fruit intermixed with licorice, tobacco, and smoke. While not as opulent as some vintages, it is exceptionally concentrated, long, and reminiscent of a ripe Bordeaux from a top vintage. Anticipated maturity: now-2018.
