Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Levels: one upper and one upper/mid shoulder; one bin soiled label, one signs of seepage
"Basically, and should have been predictably, a charmer though not all were château bottled and not all - though most - in good condition. A superb bottle at Wolf's vertical in 1997: never very deeply coloured, a soft, mellow brick red with shades of ruby; the sort of fragrance that can't wait. Mocha, a touch of lime blossom; a most lovely wine with perfectly integrated component parts. Light in style and only 12 alcohol. At best *****" MB, Vintage Wine
