An unusual Continental striking table clock with revolving night/day globe
The part bombé case with glazed side panels and concave-moulded base raised on brass toupie feet, with revolving painted metal globe to the top, the dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring and inscribed on a globe SIC/VOLVITUR/AETAS, mock pendulum aperture, the twin fusee movement with verge escapement, countwheel strike on bell and racheted 24-hour wheel to globe above; case basically 18th Century, dial 20th Century, movement probably 17th Century and with adaptations -- 21¾ in.
