A Napoleon III ormolu and porcelain-mounted striking mantel clock and garniture, circa 1870
The case with royal blue vase finial and bowed panels, decorated en grisaille with classical ladies trailing floral garlands, the dial with Roman chapters within gilt cartouches and decorated with doves and musical trophies, gilt spade hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with strike on bell, stamped GF -- 18 in. (45.5 cm.) high; and the pair of ornamental side vases en suite -- 15¾ in. (40 cm.) high; with giltwood plinths and ebonised stands, clock and one vase with glass dome; pendulum, key (3)
