Contemporary panelled calf (rebacked, sides quite scuffed). Second corrected and enlarged edition of the first comprehensive and important treatise on anatomy by an English author, Mikrcosmographia was first published in 1615. This edition includes the THE FIRST APPEARANCE IN ENGLISH OF AMBROISE PARE'S An Explanation of the Fashion and Use of three and fifty Instruments of Chirurgery.
