Engraved frontispiece after Rops printed in colour, numerous illustrations in the text (first few leaves a little foxed). Contemporary green morocco, gilt fleuron in panels of spine, wide gilt border round sides with fleuron cornerpieces, gilt edges, original pictorial wrappers bound in (some extremities slightly rubbed). Provenance: Earl of Mexborough (bookplate) - G. Darling (bookplate). One of 1000 copies.
