FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING OF VONNEGUT'S SCARCE FIRST BOOK with Scribner seal and 'A' on copyright page. Telling of the perverse revolt by human beings against the electronic machinery that provides everything for them, it was based on predictions of a new age of technological wonder by the General Electric Company which Vonnegut briefly joined in 1947. Currey p. 503. With his short story collection, Welcome to the Monkey House, NY, 1968, and 11 others of later date by Vonnegut, two signed by the author. (13)
