Tasting Note: ..at the Penning Roswells' '81s tasting in June 1991. It really was delicious, particularly its flavour, spicy bouquet and crisp, fruity flavour. Just enough flesh but some tannic bitterness. Lovely fruit and flavour from a Scottish cellar, pre-sale in 1994..the next note hosting a gourmet dinner at the Grand Bay Hotel, Coconut Grove, Florida, when it appeared still to be youthful and intense with a typically spicy Mouton Cabernet Sauvignon nose. But it was raw and very tannic. Pan-seared supreme of squab did not help much.Most recently, crisp lean, flavoury and acidic. Last noted at a pre-sale tasting, Jan 1999. M.B.
