Lot Essay

This design has been associated with the Tabard Inn, Bedford Park. Envisaged as the first garden suburb, Bedford Park was conceived in 1875 by Johnathan Carr, with E.W. Godwin as architect, however, Richard Norman Shaw became the key co-ordinator in 1877.
