Two Shakudo Tsuba and another Tsuba
Edo period (19th century)
The first, an oval shakudo nanako plate designed with gold and shakudo paulownia overlapping the edges, one hitsuana plugged; the second, a Kaga-school oval shakudo migaki-ji plate dished to the edge and decorated with crickets, autumn plants and a crescent moon all flush-inlaid in gold; the third, a rounded-square plate with slightly lobed corners and raised rim finished in greenish-gray patination decorated with plum, willow, moon and stream, in high relief with gold and silver highlights, grasses carved in sunken relief
