Edo period (18th-19th century), the first signed So Toshiyoshi and with kao, the second inscribed Nobuie, the third inscribed Nobuie
Comprising a rounded-rectangular iron plate with lobed corners and finished in ishime-ji and carved with a rocky cave with the white robed Potalaka Kannon and a young boy, perhaps Sudhana, bringing an offering in iroe takazogan, the water in flush-inlaid silver; a Myochin-school trapezoidal iron plate with a raised rim and pierced with a Zen Buddhist whisk, surface finished in ishime-ji and hammered with florets; a thin iron mokko plate carved with shallow grooves around the rim; an iron open-work rounded-square iron tsuba with paulownia
