A Tanto in Aikuchi Mounts
The blade Edo period (18th century), the mounts Edo period (19th century)
Hirazukuri, iori-mune with itame forging pattern of nie, notare tempered edge with nioi, jinie, utsuri and sunagashi, carved with maruhi on the omote and futatsuji on the ura, tang suriage machi okuri with two holes, one partially plugged and kiri file marks, single silver habaki, 24.6cm. long

Black-lacquer aikuchi koshirae with a rain dragon emerging from clouds in silver and gold, the hardware silver carved with clouds; the tsuka with wave design with inlaid-copper dots of foam; menuki two demons in clouds; kashira with aperture containing a dragon in raised gold lacquer
