The first late Muromachi period (16th century), inscribed Muramasa, the second Edo period (19th century)
The first hirazuki, iori-mune, toriizori forged in a ko-itame pattern tending toward mokume, the tempered edge suguha of nioi, the tang ubu with one hole and sujikai file marks; no habaki; in shirasaya; 49cm. long; motohaba 3.3cm.
The second honzukuri, iori-mune, toriizori, chu-kissaki with a masame forging pattern of nioi and jinie, the tempered edge suguha notare of nioi and nie with sunagashi and a small rounded tip, the tang ubu with three holes and indistinct file marks; no habaki; in shirasaya; 70.6cm. long; motohaba 3.3cm.; sakihaba 2.6cm.
