The first, rectangular, containing two smaller boxes, the exterior with a kinji ground and designed with a temple complex by the sea shore with bridges spanning rocks in gold, silver, red and black hiramaki-e, gold and brown takamaki-e and togidashi with gyobu, hirame and nashiji embellishments, the inner boxes with a continuation of the scene; interiors nashiji; rims silver; the second, oval and designed with an overall design of maple leaves in two shades of gold and silver takamaki-e and hiramaki-e; the third, a small rectangular box with rounded corners designed in gold, brown and red takamaki-e on a kinji ground, interior nashiji
