WARRING STATES/EARLY WESTERN HAN DYNASTY (475 BC - AD 8)
Standing with head turned to the side and with mouth partially open, with fine hair markings on the head and right side of the body which is cast with an animal mask; together with a small fitting cast as a recumbent animal, its neck and mid-body decorated with bands of cowrie shell motifs and the haunches with scrolls, with two attachment bars spanning the base between the bent legs; a small gilt-bronze plaque in the form of a fleeing boar; and a small fossiliferous stone recumbent animal, possibly Shang dyansty or earlier
3½, 2¾, 3 1/8 and 2 7/8 in. (8.9, 7, 7.9 and 7.3 cm.) long, three boxes and one stand (4)
