A Blue and White Porcelain Bowl
Choson period (19th century)
The deep circular bowl painted in pale strokes of underglaze-blue with three longevity characters over clouds separated by three chrysanthemum sprays and with line borders at the foot and lip, a good-fortune character painted in underglaze-blue in the interior well and the entire bowl save the foot rim applied with a transparent glaze of pronounced blue hue
3½in. (8.9cm.) high; 5 9/16in. (14.7cm.) diameter
