YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The sides flaring slightly from the foot rim and then rounding up and out to the rim, decorated in relief on the exterior with a band of cresting waves encircling the foot below a bowstring band and a band of incised key fret at the rim, covered inside and out with a pale sea- green glaze

A Yongzheng-marked pale celadon-glazed dish of this design and approximate size was included in the Min Chiu Society exhibition, Monochrome Ceramics of Ming and Ch'ing Dynasties, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1977, no. 72. Another example from the collection of the Hong Kong Museum of Art was included in the exhibition, The Wonders of the Potter's Palette, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1984, p. 101, no. 59, where the glaze is described as 'moon white'.
