AN UNUSUAL BLANC-DE-CHINE PETAL-CARVED BOWL
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The deep sides carved on the exterior with twelve lotus petals rising from the correspondingly fluted foot to the everted rim, covered with a glaze of warm ivory tone; together with a blanc-de-chine tripod censer, 17th/18th century, raised on three ruyi supports, the sides divided into three registers by bow-string bands, the middle register impressed with a band of archaistic motifs, with an inscription later incised through the ivory glaze on one side
