The exterior carved with a figure in a boat in a continuous river landscape below a herringbone band at the mouth rim, with an apocryphal Chenghua mark on the base; together with an unusual carved soft-paste octagonal cup, 17th/18th century, each facet carved with a bat amidst clouds, all under a glaze of ivory tone and with a metal-mounted rim
