Modelled as two stacked books or albums, the long sides and top of the rim decorated in imitation of brocade coverings, the ends incised and painted in imitation of the paper pages, the ivory clasps and attached cloth tabs molded and painted, raised on bamboo-form corner supports with molded leaves applied to the corners above
