A STUNNING COLLECTION OF RARITY - PART II
THE FOLLOWING REPRESENT SOME OF THE RAREST POST-WAR VINTAGES FROM THE FINEST PRODUCERS IN CHAMPAGNE, BURGUNDY, BORDEAUX, BAROLO AND GERMANY. A ROLL CALL OF ALL THE TOP CHATEAUX AND DOMAINES IN INCREASINGLY RARE VINTAGES. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE ROEDERER, DRC, MAISON LEROY, ROUMIER, ROUSSEAU, GRIVELET, ROUMIER, H. JAYER, FAIVELEY AND de VOGUE, LATOUR, MARGAUX, LA MISSION HAUT BRION, PETRUS, AND JABOULET.
Property of a Gentleman and Long Time Connoisseur of Fine and Rare Wine
Recently removed by Christie's from a private home basement cellar with active temperature and humidity control.
This collector is well known to both Christie's North America and London for over three decades. He has travelled extensively and has had great opportunity to enjoy the worlds finest wines alongside world class cuisine. As a contemporary of Michael Broadbent and Bipin Desai he has experienced many of their vinuous recommendations and with great fortune for us today still has a few of them represented below. The selection chosen for sale was a painstaking process of opening, sampling and verifying a selection worthy for sale. It is therefore by default a highly personal selection reflecting our client's taste and choice of châteaux.
This offering represents but a fraction of the overall collection and is a frank realization that the time has come to share these great wines with others who might appreciate their rarity.
