"Superlative. Softer and more amenable than the '28. Sixteen notes, almost all 5 stars, dating from December 1955.Always deeply coloured, its bouquet variously described - mainly inadequately - as rich but restrained old cedar, spicy (eucalyptus once again, cloves and sage), 'medicinal' Pauillac and so forth...More recently a perfect magnum in a 'flight' of Latours at a Rodenstock weekend.
