A young gentleman, in black coat with black buttons, velvet collar and white knotted cravat
signed, dated and fully inscribed on the counter-enamel 'Henry Pierce Bone Enamel Painter to her Majesty & H.R. H. Prince Albert, the Queen Dowager & H.R.H. the Duchess of Kent. London March 1842. This Enamel was painted & presented to J.P. Ord Esq. by him. From an Oil Picture painted by Himself in 1828.'
