UNMARKED BUT SIGNED IN URDU TO BASE, CIRCA 1900,
Of octagonal form, complete with lock but lacking key, sides engraved with oval panels depicting elephant, tigers, birds & other wild animals, further engraved with butterflies, foliage & bands of chevrons & diaperwork, cover with repetitive flowers & foliate scrolls, base & inside of cover with a prick-dot 6-petalled device, base signed in Urdu script "Made by Pana Lal in the factory at Alwar", 4 3/8 in. high (11 cm.), 16 oz.
