MARK OF MATTHEW BOULTON & CO., BIRMINGHAM, 1824,
Campana-shaped with foliate side handles on pedestal foot, applied frieze of fruiting vines, part-fluted and decorated with tongue & leaf borders, the cover with greyhound finial, 12 in. high (30 cm.), 43.25 oz.

Although uninscribed, this is the silver cup of £37 value won by "Spanker" at the Morse Coursing meeting of January 11th., 1825, referred to on the dog collar, lot 163, in this same sale catalogue.
