Lot Essay

After twelve years of learning the craft at the printer's studio of Lacourière, Robert Dutrou, to whom this print is dedicated, became the master printer at Maeght in 1960. Together with his wife Lydie, he ran the workshop for more than thirty years and collaborated closely with Joan Miró and many other artists.
