The base of a white glazed bottle with very comparable decoration is in the al-Sabah Collection, Kuwait (Oliver Watson, Ceramics from Islamic Lands, London, 2004, Cat.L.8, p.311). Both vessels have a similar very delicate carving of the surface under the glaze, and an almost identical design around the shoulder. A turquoise glazed conical bowl with very similar decoration from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art was sold in these Rooms 15 October 2002, lot 71).
