CENTRAL IRAN, CIRCA 1200
Of bulbous form with two small spouts and lion-shaped handles, the lavender-blue body with moulded decoration, with red and white enamel and gilding of mythical beasts including sphinxes, and a band of running hares below the rim within a lattice of arabesques with palmettes and split-palmettes, repaired breaks, some restoration to rim and to handles
