Lot Essay

Rolex introduced the Tru-Beat model during the 1950's. The defining characteristic is the dead beat sweep seconds, once viewed as an aspect of a well-made watch. Due to a lack of popularity the model was discontinued within five years of its release, making an unconverted example a truly rare find.
