A ROMAN AUBERGINE GLASS FLASK
CIRCA 1ST CENTURY A.D.
The spherical body with tall tapering neck and everted rim, the body wound with a white spiral trail, traces remaining, rim repaired; an aubergine glass jar, the spherical body with short neck and collared rim, circa 3rd-4th Century A.D., both 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; a glass jar with black iridescence, on ring foot, with fine applied horizontal trail below rim, 3rd Century A.D., 3¼ in. (8.5 cm.) high; a pale aubergine glass bottle, the tall cylindrical neck with folded collar below rim, 4th Century A.D., 4¼ in. (11 cm.) high; and three iridescent glass amphoriskoi, each with pointed base, bulbous body with cylindrical neck and folded rim, all circa 1st Century A.D., 4¾ in. (12 cm.) high max. (7)
