A PAIR OF PARTHIAN GOLD EARRINGS
CIRCA 4TH CENTURY A.D.
Each earring of amphora shape, composed of a hollow gold waisted cylinder with granulation and applied ribbon decoration, beneath which are three tear-shaped garnet and green glass inlays, in box settings surrounded by granules and interspersed with three hollow gold spheres, a rigid pendant below composed of a cluster of four hollow spheres, each terminating in a pyramid of gold granules, with modern ear hooks
