AN EGYPTIAN STYLE NECKLACE COMPOSED OF SCARABS AND AMULETS
NEW KINGDOM (1550-1070 B.C.) AND LATER
Including a feldspar scarab, lightly incised with the hieroglyphs for "the good god", circa 1500 B.C., and other green stone and glazed composition scarabs, all with pendant miniature amulets including a haematite wedjat-eye, two scarabs, cornelian hes-vase, lapis lazuli hawk, and a kneeling figure of Shu, set in elaborate modern settings, the clasp mounted with a modern steatite plaque with cartouche of Tuthmosis III

Provenance
Private collection, Northern Ireland; inherited from a collector who had probably acquired the necklace in the early 20th Century.
