A GREEK SHEET BRONZE MIRROR COVER
CIRCA 4TH CENTURY B.C.
Decorated in repoussé, the relief scene showing a male figure holding a garlanded palm frond, taking refuge on an altar, an armed warrior with shield and spear to one side, opposite a draped female figure holding aloft a double-headed axe, with repair, mounted, 5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) diam.; and two Javanese bronze mirrors, each decorated with concentric bands around central raised boss, 11th-13th Century A.D., 6¼ in. (16 cm.) long max. (3)

From a private collection formed during the 1960s-1970s.
