A group of Continent maps including an attractive, if rather crude, map of Asia from Rosaccio's short geography, Il Mondo e sue parti cioe Europa, Africa, Asia, et America. The Asia map is particularly intersting -- "Nova Guinea" is shown indistinctly merging into a larger land mass, and the East Indies are delineated, along with a rather sketchy Philippine archipelago. Japan lies far to the north, quite near an unidentifed land which must be a corner of America. The plate of Africa shows the signs of 3 cracks. Rosaccio specialised in small geographies which he illustrated with maps such as these; neat, concise, and attractive.
Special notice
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium, which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
