Especially highly regarded are the Barolo Falletto di Serralunga, Barbaresco Asili, Barbaresco Santo Stefano di Nieve, Barbaresco Gallina di Nieve, Barbaresco Rabajà and Nebbiolo d'Alba. Bruno Giacosa, as referenced by Robert M. Parker, Jr., "... is a quiet and dignified winemaking genius in Neive ... the least promotion-conscious winemaker in Italy who prefers to let his wines do the talking for him." Bruno Giacosa is a firm believer in single vineyard bottlings and his policy of only releasing his top wines in vintages which are of the highest quality has propelled his wines to cult status and increased the desirability and collectability of his wines. Other wines produced include Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, and white wines, Roero Arneis and Spumante Giacosa.

Barolo Falletto di Serralunga--Vintage 1995
Piedmont. Bruno Giacosa
Tasting Note: I enjoyed the outstanding 1995 Barolo Falletto. It possesses a medium dark ruby colour with some lightening at the edge. The intense nose of cedar, spice box, soy, tar, rose petals, and black fruits is followed by a wine with a sweet attack, full body, and dense, layered, concentrated, spicy flavours. As this muscular, tannic wine sat in the glass, all spice and dried herbs became increasingly apparent. Cellar it for 4-5 years, and consume over the following 12 years. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate 124 (Aug 1999).
