Each mint-green vase of baluster form with pierced collar, on four floral swagged satyr monopodiae pilaster supports, the circular plinth base stamped with WMF, and struck with OX, I/O, one also stamped £, the other also with BM, *, E and an indistinct retailer's mark ANEZIN HNOS. & CIA.

Lot Essay

The "beehive" mark on these vases was introduced in July 1909 at the request of the French government. The asterick stamp corresponds to a special production or for items that were intended for export. For a further note on WMF, see lot 206.
