Of globular form with flaring neck and shaped mouth, the shoulder flanked by two opposing gilt scroll-handles, finely painted with a maiden under a blossoming tree within a gilt foliate surround, the reverse with three scholarly buildings and an inscription noting the devotion of J. Bingham Woodward from the faculty of the State of the Normal & Model Schools on his 25th anniversary in New Jersey education, below a gilt book bearing the phrase 'Non Scholae Sed Vitae Studemus'
