Circa 1845, blue J.P. mark and incised script M, the decoration possibly by Auguste Darte
In the Renaissance Revival style, of canted square form, the perforated cover and vase surmounted by a pierced gallery composed of alternate anthemion and flowers, the sides finely painted with still-life panels of flower and fruit, within gilt scrollwork reserves, raised on four lion mask and paw feet
