In the Chinoiserie aesthetic, each everted mouth resembling a parasol painted with alternate butterflies and gilt enriched flowers, the thistle-shaped vase painted front and back with a seated figure at leisure in a garden, the lower body with butterflies and faux 'emeralds' among scrollwork, the conforming socle painted and gilt with a flower garland, raised on an octagonal foot
