The rectangular bevelled later plate in a gadrooned frame surrounded by lozenges and foliage on a punched ground, surmounted by an open scrolled pediment centred by a cartocuhe and with shaped apron centred by a shell, the reverse with silver dedicatory plaque inscribed 'A Wedding Gift to The Duke of Kent from the following members of his family, November 29th 1934 ... ', refreshments to gesso and gilding, the cartouche possibly later
