The dished seat with scroll ends, on a waisted support and U-shaped legs, with identical design on the reverse

Lot Essay

The stool, with its arched feet, and Ionic scrolled seat is designed in the early 19th century Grecian fashion, and relates to a pair of stools bearing a 'talbot' hound crest sold, anonymously, in these Rooms, 13 November 1997, lot 59.
