Louis Péridiez, maître in 1764

Louis Péridiez came from a family of cabinet makers and became ébéniste like his father and his brother. The top of this coiffeuse relates directly to the oeuvre of his father Brice Péridiez. One of his tables is illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Le Mobilier Français du XVIIIe siècle, Paris, 1998, p.637. Another table, stamped by Guillaume Kemp, Christie's, London, 13 June 2002, lot 433. Interestingly, Kemp was a brother in law of Louis Péridiez.
