The serpentine-shaped rectangular gilt-tooled brown leather-lined bureau plat framed by a stepped moulding decorated to the angles with a clasp cast with rockwork and scrolls, above a frieze fitted with three drawers to the front and three simulated drawers to the back, the sides centred by a pierced clasp cast with foliate scrolls, the angles conformingly mounted, above slightly cabriole legs terminating in foliate sabots
