For a similar inkstand see W. Mrazek & W. Neuwirth, Exhibition catalogue, Wiener Porzellan, Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Vienna, 1971, no. 708.

This nécessaire à éncrier was made during a remarkable collaboration between the Imperial porcelain factory and Viennese Biedermeier glass painters such as Schufried.

A similar inkstand was sold in The Collection of the Princely Family zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst, Christie's, Amsterdam, 25th September 2001, lot 101.
