拍品專文

This is a reduced copy after the picture by Titian in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. It is very close in size to the many small-scale individual copies made by Teniers after old master paintings in the collection of the archduke Leopold William. Of these, 244 including the present composition were engraved in 1660 under the title Theatrum Pictorium, a pictorial inventory of the Archduke collection, to whom Titian's Gipsy Madonna belonged.
