Rectangular, on four shell and acanthus feet, the border gadrooned with shells and acanthus leaves at the corners, set with a wirework frame enclosing two cut-glass pots for ink and pounce, with silver covers, and a central taperstick, marked under base, covers and taperstick, the taperstick waxpan apparently unmarked
