The richly-gilt handle with ram's mask, acanthus and palm ornament, painted with a still life of flowers on a marble ledge, within a tapering gilt rectangular panel, the reverse gilt with flowers below gothick arches, between bands of stiff-leaves and flowers, on a square plinth gilt with flowerheads within geometric leaf panels
