A REGENCY SILVER SOUP-TUREEN, COVER AND STAND
MARK OF THOMAS ROBINS, LONDON, 1811
Oval and on four leaf-capped shell block feet, the lower body partly- fluted, with two reeded leaf-capped handles with lion's-mask terminals, with a gadrooned rim, the cover with a bead and leaf handle, the stand oval and on scroll and leaf paw feet, with a foliage gadrooned rim and two leaf and reed handles, with a plain liner with drop ring handles, engraved twice with a coat of arms, the cover engraved twice with a crest, marked under tureen, stand, cover bezel, handle, and liner
The stand 21 in. (53.4 cm.) long; 387 oz. (12,040 gr.)
The arms are those of Canning impaling those of another.
